Gloria, a Bar and the St. Louis Blues


This story is not so much about tonight’s possible championship game but more about Gloria. Gloria is the hit song by Laura Brannigan in the 1980’s.

With a victory tonight the St. Louis Blues can become Stanley cup Champions. It’s been 49 years since the last time the Blues were in the NHL Finals. 49 years of futility and that’s a long time.

I am not a Blues fan, I am a New York Ranger fan, so I have no rooting interest except that Everybody likes an underdog. That includes me.

It is now the theme song of the blues, how it became the theme song is fascinating.
